MCA21 V3: India's company and LLP filing portal
MCA21 V3 is the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' current filing portal. The final 38 company forms moved to V3 on 14 July 2025, completing the migration.
Short answer
MCA21 V3 is the third version of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs' e-governance portal, on which companies and LLPs file all their forms, pay fees and view records. It replaced downloadable PDF forms with web-based forms filled online. LLP forms moved first, and the final set of 38 company forms went live on V3 on 14 July 2025.

What changed with V3
Under V2, users downloaded PDF forms, filled them offline and uploaded them. V3 uses online web forms with pre-filled master data, user-based logins for directors and professionals, and integrated payment. Filings are linked to the user ID that submits them, which improves traceability.
The migration happened in phases. LLP forms moved in 2022, company forms followed in batches through 2023 and 2024, and MCA launched the final batch of 38 company forms on 14 July 2025.
What you can do on V3
The portal handles the full life cycle of a company or LLP, from name reservation to closure. The main services a startup will use in its first few years are listed below.
- Incorporation via SPICe+ and FiLLiP
- Annual filings such as AOC-4, MGT-7 and Forms 8 and 11
- Event-based filings such as DIR-12, SH-7, MGT-14 and CHG-1
- DIR-3 KYC and DIN services
- Master data search and document inspection
- Strike-off applications processed by C-PACE
Why it matters for startups
Each director and professional needs a V3 business user login with a registered DSC. Set these up well before your first annual filing deadline. Because V3 validates data against master records, any mismatch in director names, addresses or capital figures can block a form, so keep your MCA master data current after every change. Also save the SRN and challan for every filing, because V3 uses them to track status and resubmissions.
