Editorial policy
How we research, write and maintain the Refogo Library.
Who writes the library
Articles are written by the Refogo Editorial Team for founders, finance teams and foreign companies doing business in India. Refogo is a brand of Fabulous Fintech Private Limited. Filings for clients are handled separately by practising chartered accountants, company secretaries and advocates in the Refogo partner network.
How we research
- Every rule, threshold, due date and fee is checked against primary sources first: the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, CBIC and the GST portal, the Income Tax Department, RBI, DPIIT, IP India, FSSAI, DGFT, EPFO, ESIC, PIB and India Code.
- Professional publications (ICAI, ICSI, established tax and law publishers) are used only to confirm or explain official material.
- Each article lists its sources and the date it was last checked. Where a figure could not be confirmed we leave it out or describe it in general terms.
- We do not publish invented statistics, testimonials or case studies.
Keeping articles current
Indian compliance rules change often. In 2025 and 2026 alone the Income-tax Act 2025 replaced the 1961 Act, DIR-3 KYC moved to a three-year cycle, the small company limits were raised and GST rates were rationalised. We review articles when the law changes and at least once a year, and the "Updated" date on every article shows the last check. Statutory extensions announced by authorities override the dates we publish.
Independence
Articles explain the law for everyone, whether or not you use Refogo. A short pointer to a relevant Refogo service may appear at the end of an article. No outcome, approval or timeline is ever guaranteed.
Not legal or tax advice
The library is general information. Your facts matter, so confirm your own case with a qualified professional before acting.
